Offensive shirts has become very popular over the last decade as new trends were coming out. The idea of wearing something that openly expresses what one feels really appealed to the youth because they have a lot they want to say. However, not many people condone to that idea because the messages can be too strong or even obscene at times.

When they first made its appearance in small clothing stores, many were against the idea. Firstly, a lot of those shirts were anti government and criticized the politicians for being corrupt. Also, a lot of them touched sensitive issues like the bombing of the World Trade Towers and the Columbine Massacre. These kinds of issues were regarded as a taboo to society because people would rather not talk about them.

These days, almost everyone follows this trend. It is not a surprise to see people flashing drawings and writings about sensitive issues like violence and sex. This fashion statement got a lot of attention from conservatives because a dangerous trend like this is said to pollute the minds of the young people.

Now although it seems that this trend may be very harmful to the young ones, they do not know how beneficial it can be as well. By promoting the trend, young people are actually exercising their right of freedom of speech. There is absolutely nothing wrong with talking about issues that they believe need questioning and bringing up. They are expressing how they feel about themselves and how they can relate to the message written on their shirt.

Very much like music, fashion also enables individuals to deliver a message that they would want the public to hear. One would often hear singers talk about themselves and their life experiences through their songs. Very often the lyrics of these songs would contain cussing, innuendos, blunt messages, and stories. So if music is allowed to reach its target audience, then fashion should as well.

In some countries, clothing like these has already been banned. Many of these shirts contain a lot of sensitive topics like politics, killings, sexual acts, and other taboos. It is a popular belief that outrageous fashion statements are one of the ways to ruin the youth.

Now the thing about these clothes is that they are not supposed to be taken too seriously. Makers came up with this idea because it is supposed to just be a medium of expressing thoughts and at the same time a joke. Young people have the need to be heard, so this is a way for them to show who they are.

So basically, there is actually nothing wrong with wearing offensive shirts as it should be a way of free speech. However, it is important to take note that sometimes clothes like these can grab a lot of attention. This can be dangerous when walking around the streets. So just remember that there is nothing wrong to express feelings by wearing a shirt with a blunt message, but be careful.
